The Fourth of July in Frisco

The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate and our country will see many firework displays, picnics, baseball games, family reunions, and parades to commemorate Independence Day.  In many small towns across the United States hundreds of parades will showcase community pride and in my town of Frisco, Colorado we celebrated with an hour-long parade featuring a special spot in the parade for the children as they ride through main street with their decorated bikes giving them the opportunity to display their creativity and patriotism.

Along the parade route were food stands, drinks, and face painting which captivated many of the children who came to have fun on a day that celebrates the birth of our nation.  Today my photos focused on the kids as they rode their bikes in the parade, got their faces painted and scrambled to get all the candy the parade participants through out to them as they lined the parade route down Main Street.
