Sometimes you just have to kick yourself out of bed on a cold snowy day and go exploring to see what the morning light has to offer. These pictures were taken of Lake Dillon where the mountains, frozen lake and snow kissed trees seem to be just waking up to the morning sunrise and the oh so cold winter air.
This picture was taken from our hotel room in Vail, Colorado this past December. Although we live thirty minutes from Vail, we decided to treat ourself one night and stayed in this fabulous town. Vail is very pricey $$$$$ but….with all of the fresh fallen snow, a beautiful fireplace, and breakfast in bed..I’m gonna say it was worth it.
This photo is of Rainbow Lake, a trail that is behind our home leads to this picturesque lake. Today was unique as we watched the wind make snow circles which looked liked individual snow dancers on the frozen lake.
This photo is one of my favorites. I would entitle it brotherly fun. My only regret….(because I didn’t get the next photo) After I took this photo my husband (brother #1 in black) went to get out of the sled and tripped over his big feet and fell out sideways in front of the restaurant where we had just eaten giving the patrons and us something to laugh about for a long time.
