Austria is a beautiful country and I highly recommend visiting Vienna. All of Vienna’s major attractions are within walking distance in this historic city. The city is ideal for strolling as it offers one of the largest car-free zones in Europe. We visited St Stephen’s Cathedral, took in a Mozart Concert, and toured the Hofburg Imperial Palace.
It was at the Hofburg Imperial Palace where we were touring the royal apartments that I saw the family tree of the Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis the 1st. It was there that I saw Marie Antoinette’s name. She was born an Austrian archduchess and was the fifteenth daughter of Maria & Frances. She would later become the Queen of France.
And….take this with a grain of salt, but it has been said that I am related to Marie Antoinette. Probably a cousin four times removed on my father’s side but still… I most likely have some royal blood and therefore that might explain my behavior at times:)
