Sept #SevCzechusout! And..yes we are related to someone famous:)

The Charles Bridge is one of the many beautiful and haunting attractions that I plan on photographing the crap out of.  The Charles Bridge finds itself being the hang out for Czech artists, musicians and of course vendors selling their ware.  The historical bridge began it’s birth in 1357 so as this bridge is over 650 years old the draw to visit is strong.  I hope my pictures do this enchanting and alluring bridge justice.

So this guy.… has been the major focus for our family for the past couple of weeks as we narrowed down how he was related to us. So here it is; Charles J. Vopicka is my husband’s 3rd Great Uncle. Born in the small village of Dolni Hbtny, he was an Ambassador for the Balkans from 1913-1920 and was appointed by President Woodrow Wilson.  Uncle Charles also wrote the Secrets of the Balkans.  Our plan is to tour this village with a genealogist who will be researching our family history and many of Steve’s relatives were born and lived in this town.
