Hi and thank you for visiting food, travel, and such… My name is Michele and blogging is a new adventure for me. I just recently finished my Bachelors Degree and found myself with a lot of free time on my hands and I wanted to try something new. So this quote fit….…. “If you want something different out of life, you have to be prepared to try something new”. So here I am.
I split my time between two cities, Denver & Frisco, Colorado. I am a labor and delivery nurse and work in Denver and my husband Steve works in Vail, so hence the two residences. I have a beautiful daughter named Sam and our two cats Jasper and Dude round out our little family.
So why am I blogging? Well, for a couple of reasons, the first reason is I really wanted to learn how to cook. To be honest, I am pretty lost in the kitchen and after logging many hours of watching the food network channel I still fumble over recipes. Lately, I have been pouring over the many food blogs that are out there and I started to get excited again about cooking. So I wanted to blog about the experience and who knows….maybe in a couple of years I will be making up my own recipes. A girl can dream, right?
The other reason I wanted to start this blog is our upcoming trip to Europe. My husband’s grandparents are from two small villages in the Czech Republic which is outside of Prague and he has always wanted to travel to this area. His wish is now a reality and that wish has prompted a 17-day excursion ( I am so excited) to Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, Venice, and the Almalfi Coast. His family was interested in following our journey to Prague, so I am starting this blog now.
